It does indeed seem like the sun is setting for aviation in Hong Kong. The traffic numbers for June 2020 have been released, and I think it is no surprise that they are very similar to the numbers in May
The number of flights operated in and out of Hong Kong was 9945, down 71.8% compared to June last year.
Only 59.000 passengers passed through the terminal, down 99.1% from 6.347.000 a year ago.
Passenger flights were down 87.5% from 29.831 to only 3.720 (which gives an average of only 16 passengers per flight).
The only increase was cargo flights, up 23.1% from 4.766 a year ago to 5.865. The tonnage of cargo is still down 7.7% for the month, but the increase in flights is due to the lack of passenger aircraft that could have brought the cargo instead.
