It’s official: Cathay Pacific’s direct flights from Hong Kong (HKG) to Brussels (BRU) are back, and they’re off to a flying start! The relaunched route took to the skies on August 3, 2025, reconnecting these two global hubs after a five-year break. Two days in, the buzz is real—Flight CX294 soared out of Hong Kong at 11:25 PM on Saturday, landing in Brussels at 5:55 AM Sunday, while the return CX293 lifted off from Brussels at 4:15 PM, touching down in Hong Kong at 6:55 AM Monday. Cathay’s brought Belgium back into the fold, and travelers are already hooked on this seamless link!

✈️ Touchdown in Subang: HK Express Lands in Kuala Lumpur’s City Airport

History was made yesterday as HK Express successfully launched its first-ever flight from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur’s Subang Airport (SZB). Review – Cathay Pacific Airbus A333, business class, Hong Kong to Bangkok, January 2025.

This was part of a 6 days trip I made to Bangkok in January 2025 to visit my parents, who would be flying on to Bangkok the next day. I booked this flight a couple of days in advance, and paid 28.000 Asia Miles for it, plus a small amount (around 500 HKD I believe?) in taxes. I was happy to see that the flight had a 1-2-1 reverse herring bone set-up, which meant lie-flat seats, and not the regional business class that Cathay offers on many flights.

Milestone achieved – 1 million miles flown!

I have, to the best of my ability, been looging all the flights I have done over the years, and just notied now that I have recently passed the 1 million miles milestone! Traveling has always been a passion of mine, and it has taken me to a lot of places, and created a lot of memories and experiences. Unfortunately, I have also lost a lot of memories in hard drive crashes over the years, which is one of the main reason I started this blog – mainly to have a safe place where I can keep my memories!
