Tripreport – First time to visit Japan (Tokyo)

So this was never supposed to be a trip-report, but as I have not been able to travel for 18 months now, I’ve ran out of new things to write about, and rather start working my way through my old travels to conserve some of those memories 🙂

Review – Emirates Boeing 777ER Cebu – Clark business class

After landing in Cebu the passengers bound for Angeles/Clark were allowed to remain onboards, whereas the passengers bound for Cebu disembarked. As soon as they were off the plane, a cleaning crew came on board, and did a (very quick) clean of the empty seats.

Before cleaning.

Air Traffic Statistics for Hong Kong, October 2020

In my effort to catch up, it is now time for the October numbers to be shared as well. I do expect that those as well are severely down from last year, but I also believe there will be a slight increase from September again.

Emirates Boeing 777ER Dubai – Cebu business class

Connecting through Dubai was quick and easy, having access to the business class fast track we made it through transit and into the departures hall in no time. As the kids did not enjoy the food on the plane too much, we headed to McDonalds for a late evening meal, as we had a 3 hours stop-over in Dubai – just perfect amount of time for something to eat and to let the kids burn off some energy.

Review – Emirates Boeing 777ER Oslo – Dubai business class

With the Radisson Blu just across the street from the terminal it was a quick walk to the terminal, and another 5 minutes walk to the check-in area as it was (of course) located at the far end of the terminal. Check-in itself was quick, and we just narrowly managed to put our jackets and winter shoes in the suitcases before they were sent off. From here we had fast-track for security (which I found to be the rudest I have encountered in my travels so far), and then we had time for a quick drink at Starbucks before heading to immigration. Oslo Airport is apparently not built for international travels, and the line at immigration was huge, it probably took us 90 minutes to get through – I am glad we were early for our flight!

Review – Angeles Beach Club Hotel (ABC Hotel), Angeles City, Philippines

Knowing that the house would be full of visitors for Alexhandras 7th birthday, and the fact that I needed a little bit of a holiday on my own, I decided to check out the Angeles City Beach Club hotel (ABC Hotel) for a couple of nights after the family celebration of her birthday was finished 😀

Review – Hotel Royal, Macau

I had previously been to Macau a couple of times on day-trips, but decided it was time to get to know the city itself a bit more, and not only the casinos, so decided to book a hotel for 2 nights. I looked around on Agoda.com for a while, and decided to book this hotel in the old part of the city, on the Macau peninsula.

Review – Cathay Pacific Business Class lounge, Manila.

Date or review: May 23, 2019.

Sitting area in the lounge.

The lounge in Manila was quite hard to locate, there were no (easily visible) signs pointing in the right direction, but after asking some of the terminal staff for directions I was finally able to locate it, upstairs from the main terminal at the end of a corridor. (It is located in Terminal 3, level 4, just above gate 114).

Review – Cathay Pacific Airbus A35K Manila – Hong Kong Business Class

This was a trip I had to make because I had business to take care of in Manila, so I had flown in to Manila with Cebu Pacific, and for the return flight I used my Qmiles (from Qatar Airways) to book a flight with Cathay Pacific from Manila to Hong Kong.
