Review – The Pier, Cathay Pacific Business Class Lounge, Hong Kong, January 2025.

The visit to this lounge was part of a 5 night trip I made to Bangkok to visit my parents there. I had booked an award ticket in Business Class with Cathay Pacific for 12.000 miles if I remember correctly, which allowed me lounge access. As my flight was leaving from Gate 40, I choose to use The Pier Business Class lounge, as it is not too far from the gate.

Milestone achieved – 1 million miles flown!

I have, to the best of my ability, been looging all the flights I have done over the years, and just notied now that I have recently passed the 1 million miles milestone! Traveling has always been a passion of mine, and it has taken me to a lot of places, and created a lot of memories and experiences. Unfortunately, I have also lost a lot of memories in hard drive crashes over the years, which is one of the main reason I started this blog – mainly to have a safe place where I can keep my memories!

Exploring Saipan in March 2019

Exiting the terminal there were not many people oustide, but a couple of guys holding home-made signs saying Taxi. I looked around a little bit, and saw no other taxi signs, so I decided to go with one of the guys, who quoted me a fixed price (I think 10 dollars) to my hotel, The GrandVrio in Garapan. The fare was fair, so I decided it was a good option.

Review – Hong Kong Express Airbus A320 Hong Kong – Clark, Philippines, May 2025.

This is my most traveled route, I normally fly betweeen Hong Kong and Clark 3 times per month, as my family lives there. Cebu Pacific has two daily flights, and Hong Kong Express has one, and genrally speaking, Cebus flight schedule suits me to most, but this time I had to fly in the afternoon, so I decided to go with HK Express instead.

Review – Hotel GrandVrio resort, Saipan

This post has been pending for 6 years for some reason, so I figured it was time to get it moving and out there. I made the booking for the hotel via Agoda.com, and after looking around for a while I settled at the GrandVrio resort for my 48 hours visit. However, I was arriving at 5 am, and checking out at 2:30 am, so I had to book the room for 3 nights to be sure it was available.
