Review – Cathay Pacific Airbus A333, business class, Hong Kong to Bangkok, January 2025.

This was part of a 6 days trip I made to Bangkok in January 2025 to visit my parents, who would be flying on to Bangkok the next day. I booked this flight a couple of days in advance, and paid 28.000 Asia Miles for it, plus a small amount (around 500 HKD I believe?) in taxes. I was happy to see that the flight had a 1-2-1 reverse herring bone set-up, which meant lie-flat seats, and not the regional business class that Cathay offers on many flights.

Milestone achieved – 1 million miles flown!

I have, to the best of my ability, been looging all the flights I have done over the years, and just notied now that I have recently passed the 1 million miles milestone! Traveling has always been a passion of mine, and it has taken me to a lot of places, and created a lot of memories and experiences. Unfortunately, I have also lost a lot of memories in hard drive crashes over the years, which is one of the main reason I started this blog – mainly to have a safe place where I can keep my memories!

Cathay Pacific’s Dallas Route Takes Off: Two Days In and Texas-Sized Success!

Cathay Pacific’s new direct flight from Hong Kong (HKG) to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) blasted off on April 24, 2025, and two days in, it’s already a Texas-sized triumph! The inaugural Flight CX898 soared out of Hong Kong at 4:05 PM last Thursday, landing in Dallas at 5:55 PM right on schedule—a smooth 14-hour-50-minute hop across the Pacific. The return leg, CX897, took off from DFW at 11:55 PM that night, touching down in Hong Kong at 5:05 AM Saturday, April 26th, as planned. It’s sweet like a lemon with a big Texas kick, and travelers are loving this transpacific treat!
