Last month Macau opened up for travellers from the Chinese province of Guangdong to enter Macau without the mandatory 14 days quarantine as they had to undergo until then.
Today it was noted by a friend of mine that about half of Air Macau’s fleet was moved from storage in Beijing and brought back to Macau. The airport in Macau has virtually seen no traffic in the last 5 months after they closed their borders, but with the aircraft moving back there I believe they are getting ready to resume travelling from all of China without restrictions soon.
With most of the visitors in Macau coming from Mainland China it would be a big step in the direction of getting businesses up and running again to open the borders, so I think it is very likely we will see a relaxation of the rules soon.
