The lounge in Manila was quite hard to locate, there were no (easily visible) signs pointing in the right direction, but after asking some of the terminal staff for directions I was finally able to locate it, upstairs from the main terminal at the end of a corridor. (It is located in Terminal 3, level 4, just above gate 114).
Cathay Pacific at the time operated 6 or 7 flights per day between Manila and Hong Kong, and that is enough to justify having their own lounge apparently. As I was on a reward ticket in Business Class, I got access to the lounge through this.
The lounge was very spacious, and decorated in a fairly dark color scheme. It consists of three different areas, a bar, a restaurant/dining area and a general sitting area. The bar had the same selection of wine and spirits as you can find in business class on Cathay Pacific flights, plus a good selection of soft drinks, juices, tea and coffee.
The sitting area consisted of large leather chairs and sofas, and was very comfortable to use. There was also a lot of space between each sitting area, so it felt quite private.
At the dining area there were menus places on the counter next to the chef station, and you could order what you wanted and it would be freshly cooked there, and then brought to your table. I tried the Grilled pork belly with steamed rice, and it was very tasty, and I must confess that the meny ordering and table service was quite a surprise for a business class lounge, and made it feel more special.
Overall I was very impressed with the lounge, it was spacious (and not crowded, even though there was a fair amount of passengers there), food and drinks selection was very good, and the spacious feeling of it made it easy to relax before the flight.
