HK Express Launches Direct Flights to Kuala Lumpur Subang — From Just HK$88!

Great news for budget travelers and aviation fans: HK Express has officially announced a brand-new direct route between Hong Kong (HKG) and Kuala Lumpur’s Subang Airport (SZB), set to launch on 1 August 2025. This marks a major milestone—not only is it HK Express’s second destination in Malaysia, but it also makes them the first passenger airline to operate direct commercial flights between Hong Kong and Subang.

HK Express will operate daily flights on this new route, using its modern Airbus A320neo aircraft.

• UO716 – Departs Hong Kong at 16:35, arrives Subang at 20:30
• UO717 – Departs Subang at 21:30, arrives Hong Kong at 01:35 (next day)

To celebrate the launch, HK Express is offering one-way promotional fares from as low as HK$88 for the “Ultra Lite” tier, which includes one small personal item. Here’s a breakdown of available fare tiers:

• Lite: HK$118 – One personal item + one cabin bag
• Essential: HK$188 – One personal item + 20 kg checked baggage
• Max: HK$238 – One personal item + cabin bag + 32 kg checked baggage + standard seat selection

🗓️ These promotional fares are available until 15 June 2025, valid for travel between 1 August and 25 October 2025, subject to regulatory approval.

Unlike Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang) is much closer to central Kuala Lumpur. Located just 25 minutes from the city center, it provides a faster, more convenient option for both leisure and business travelers.

This route offers an exciting alternative to traditional KLIA services and taps into the increasing demand for short-haul regional connectivity between Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
