Cebu Pacific is putting Clark–Hanoi back on the map: thrice-weekly nonstops resume from mid-November 2026, with the first Clark departure on 19 November and the first Hanoi return on 20 November. For anyone based around Clark, Angeles or further through Central Luzon, that is a proper shortcut into northern Vietnam — Hanoi without the Manila detour.

This is a resume, not a brand-new city pair. CEB had Clark–Hanoi (5J5872 / 5J5873) on the books for May 2026, then pulled it with a batch of other international flying when jet fuel spiked amid the Middle East / Hormuz disruption earlier in the year. The August relaunch package also brings back Cebu–Ho Chi Minh City (from 26 October) — useful for Visayas travellers, but the Clark angle is the one that matters for my side of Luzon.
The schedule (3× weekly, local times)
CRK → HAN (from 19 Nov — Tue / Thu / Sat)
5J5872: CRK 23:20 → HAN 02:10+1
HAN → CRK (from 20 Nov — Wed / Fri / Sun)
5J5873: HAN 03:10 → CRK 07:35
Outbound is a late-night hop of roughly three hours fifty minutes; the return is a bit shorter and drops you back at Clark early morning. Industry write-ups have filed the route on Airbus A320 family metal — confirm the live booking for your date, as LCCs swap frames. Night departures work fine if you live near Clark; less fun if you are still fighting Metro Manila traffic at 21:00.

Clark–Vietnam: CEB’s claim vs VietJet to Ho Chi Minh City
In the August announcement CEB said it was the only airline with direct Clark–Vietnam flights. That was true when they said it — but the picture has moved on. VietJet’s Clark debut to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) starts 10 November 2026, nine days before CEB’s first CRK–HAN departure. So by the time Cebu Pacific metal flies again, Clark already has a Vietnam nonstop… just not to Hanoi.
Practical split for readers around Clark:
• CEB CRK–HAN — only nonstop into Hanoi / northern Vietnam (Ha Long, Sapa, and onward domestic from Noi Bai).
• VietJet CRK–SGN — nonstop into Ho Chi Minh City / the south, plus VietJet’s thick domestic network onwards.
Different city pairs. Both useful. I would not treat them as substitutes for each other.
Fares
CEB ran a short seat sale when the resume was announced (7–11 August 2026) with one-way base fares from as low as USD 1 / PHP 1, exclusive of taxes and surcharges, for travel through 31 March 2027. That book-by window is closed. I am not putting a stale “from” number here — check cebupacificair.com for live prices, bags and seats the way you would on any LCC.
Why this matters from Clark
Until this year, getting from Central / Northern Luzon to Vietnam usually meant a trip into Manila first. A direct CRK–HAN hop cuts that out for the north of the country, the same way VietJet’s CRK–SGN does for the south. Clark is also the quieter arrival for Vietnamese visitors heading to Pampanga, Zambales or Baguio — Manila is still only about two hours’ drive if they need the capital.

Overall: a welcome restore of Clark’s only nonstop to Hanoi — three days a week, overnight outbound, early-morning return — sitting alongside VietJet’s new Ho Chi Minh City link rather than replacing it. Confirm timings on CEB’s site before you book; launch / resume routes do still nudge. There is a decent chance I end up on one of these myself next time northern Vietnam is on the list.
