Review – The Pier, Cathay Pacific Business Class Lounge, Hong Kong, January 2025.

The visit to this lounge was part of a 5 night trip I made to Bangkok to visit my parents there. I had booked an award ticket in Business Class with Cathay Pacific for 12.000 miles if I remember correctly, which allowed me lounge access. As my flight was leaving from Gate 40, I choose to use The Pier Business Class lounge, as it is not too far from the gate.

Hong Kong’s 3rd runway officially open.

At 15:50 today Cathay Pacifics flight CX8333 (Airbus A359, BLQG) was the first aircraft to depart from the newly refurbished and reopened runway 07C in Hong Kong, This development marks the completion of the long-anticipated Three-Runway System (3RS), a project that has been in the works since its inception in 2016.
