Air Traffic Statistics at Hong Kong July 2020

To the surprise of nobody the traffic numbers at Hong Kong International Airport are stable low in the month of July 2020 as well. As always, the numbers are compared to the month one year previous, so those numbers are in comparison to July 2019.

A day out with the Government Flying Services (GFS).

As part of my job at Hong Kong International Airport I was invited to join the GFS for a day of flying as a passenger to see how they operate, what help they need from us air traffic controllers, and to learn more about how we can work even better together than we are now. This was the 2nd time I was invited to spend a day with the GFS, and this time I was lucky enough to be invited for a familiarization flight both in the Challenger 600 and a Airbus Helicopter H175 (EC75). Date of flight was June 16, 2020.

Thailand’s international borders not re-opening for tourists until 2021

What is opening and what is not opening is changing on a daily basis, if not even more often. Yesterday I could read in SCMP that there is talks about a travel bubble between Hong Kong and 11 other countries, including Thailand, but then I also have come across some statements made by the deputy governor for international marketing at Tourism Authority of Thailand, Chattan Na Ayudhya.

Review – Hotel Royal, Macau

I had previously been to Macau a couple of times on day-trips, but decided it was time to get to know the city itself a bit more, and not only the casinos, so decided to book a hotel for 2 nights. I looked around on Agoda.com for a while, and decided to book this hotel in the old part of the city, on the Macau peninsula.
