Quick Hotel Review – JW Marriott Hong Kong, June 28th – July 2nd 2022.

I was at this time a long term resident at the Renaissance Harbour View in Hong Kong, but due to a delegation of VIPs coming to Hong Kong for a visit, the hotel was not available for us plebs during those four days, so I was asked to move to either the Sheraton in TST or the JW Marriott in Admiralty instead. As the Sheraton was under renovation and warned there might be a lot of noise, I choose the JW Marriott for the 4 nights that was needed. The price was a special rate of 1200 HKD plus 10% service charge, so in total 1320 HKD per night.

Review – The Sheraton Grand Cotai- Macau.

I read in South China Morning Post yesterday that there are now talks about opening up for quarantine-free traveling between Hong Kong and Macau as soon as this month possibly (although I doubt it), but I thought anyways it was time to finish my last hotel review from Macau from 2020.

Review – Angeles Beach Club Hotel (ABC Hotel), Angeles City, Philippines

Knowing that the house would be full of visitors for Alexhandras 7th birthday, and the fact that I needed a little bit of a holiday on my own, I decided to check out the Angeles City Beach Club hotel (ABC Hotel) for a couple of nights after the family celebration of her birthday was finished 😀

Review – Hotel Royal, Macau

I had previously been to Macau a couple of times on day-trips, but decided it was time to get to know the city itself a bit more, and not only the casinos, so decided to book a hotel for 2 nights. I looked around on Agoda.com for a while, and decided to book this hotel in the old part of the city, on the Macau peninsula.

Review – Ambassador Hotel, Bangkok

Arriving at the Ambassador Hotel everything there looked just like it did the previous times I had been there. The location is excellent, in Sukhumvit Soi 11, so close to Skytrain station, shopping, restaurants and nightlife.

Review, Discovery Beach Hotel, Pattaya, Thailand

The driver dropped me off outside the main entrance of the hotel just before 2 pm, and there was a bellboy there to carry the suitcases inside for me. Arriving at the reception I was the only customer there, and the receptionist completed the check-in formalities and then asked me to take a seat while she would try to locate an available room for me.

Cancelled – a weekends getaway to Taipei, and a midweek break in Bangkok.

As I wrote about earlier, Cathay together with American Express has a promo for twin bookings, which I have taken advantage of, and booked a trip to Taipei, and also a trip to Bangkok. Total price for the two return trips was 3500 HKD, and this will give me 2700 Asia Miles, plus 7000 miles through the promotion.

Review – Le Meridien, Dubai.

After the 15 minutes bus ride from our remote parked aircraft I decided it was worth going to the hotel for a few hours, as I needed more sleep and it anyways would be a way to keep the kids busy while we were waiting for our onward flight to Norway.

REVIEW – CONRAD HOTEL, MACAU.

When I was in Macau in December I made enough points with Sands rewards to get a free night stay with their group again, and this time I decided I would try the Venetian, but I was advised it was not available, but they would offer me the Conrad hotel in Cotai, Macau instead.
