After yesterdays demonstration at Hong Kong airport where all passenger flights were canceled from 1800 local time operations has resumed again at a reduced rate at the airport today.
However, so far today more than 300 flights in and out of Hong Kong has been canceled, and there is more adjustments to the schedules happening all the time.
The most affected airline is Cathay Pacific / Cathay Dragon, which has canceled more than 200 flights today. An updated list of canceled or affected flights can be found here for arrivals, and here for departures.
For other airlines I recommend that you check the airlines webpage directly, and also use the Hong Kong airports app to check your flight status. The checkin area is very busy, and there is no point heading to the airport if your flight is not confirmed today.
Further, if you are affected by any cancellation, I suggest you reach out to the airline through their social media, either Facebook messaging or twitter, or live chat if they offer that on their webpage. This way you have everything you need in writing, and you don’t need to be in a telephone queue for hours – expect all help centers to be very busy today.
There is also rumors of more demonstrations at the airport today, but this has so far not been confirmed, but do keep an eye on the news and check any flight status update before heading to the airport.
