The trend from September is continuing in October as well. Whereas September saw a decrease in passenger numbers of 12.7% and a drop on traffic numbers of 3.5% October looks even worse for Hong Kong International Airport.
The number of passengers handled at Hong Kong Airport in October was 5.374.000, down 13% from 6.176.000 in October 2018.
The number of tonnes of cargo was down from 453.000 tonnes to 428.000 tonnes, a decrease by 5.5%.
The number for flights landing and departing the airport was from from 36.516 in 2018 to 34.300 in October 2019, a decrease by 6.1%
