As with everything in this blog, I have been falling behind in reporting the traffic statistics, but I will try to get out the last few months over the next week or so.
As always this year, numbers are down big time compared with same month last year.
- Passenger numbers are down 98.6% from 5.994.000 in 2019 to only 84.000 in 2020. Compared to July 2020 that is down 12.000
- The number of tonnes of cargo handled is down 3.5% from 387.000 to 374.000. Compared to July it is about even, up 2000 tonnes only.
- The number of aircraft movements are down 72% from 35.677 in August 2019 to exactly 10.000 in August 2020. That is up 130 from July this year, so a slight improvement there too.
So again there is no surprises this month, traffic is very slowly recovering from the previous two months, but still way down from a year ago.
