Cebu Pacific cuts Clark–Hong Kong — 14 to 7 weekly for early winter

Cebu Pacific is cutting Clark–Hong Kong almost in half for November, then running 11 weekly in early December, according to recent schedule filings picked up by AeroRoutes. For anyone who treats CRK–HKG as a commute route — and I do, about three times a month on Cebu Pacific — that is the kind of line that makes you open the booking app before breakfast.

The filing shows Clark–Hong Kong dropping from 14 weekly to 7 weekly for 3–30 November 2026, then recovering to 11 weekly for 1–14 December 2026 (still below the prior 14). So it is not a full winter collapse, but it is a sharp mid-period trim on what is normally a thick shuttle between the two airports I use the most.

What that means on my calendar

Fourteen a week is basically two a day. Seven a week is one a day on average — which sounds fine until you need a specific evening departure out of Hong Kong, or a morning return into Clark before school drop-off logistics kick in. With family in the Clark area and my base in Hong Kong, the useful flights are not “any flight that day”; they are the ones that line up with work, kids, and the usual immigration timing at both ends.

I have been buying these tickets more or less on autopilot for years. When the bank of afternoon and evening options thins out, the remaining seats tend to fill earlier, and the flexible “I can move a day” habit gets expensive fast. Exit-row / window A preferences also get harder when there are simply fewer frames on the route.

The window that matters

Same filing also trims a long list of other CEB Asia routes in November — Cebu–Hong Kong, Cebu–Bangkok Don Mueang, Manila–Singapore and more — so this looks like a broader capacity pull rather than Clark being singled out. Still, Clark–Hong Kong is the pair that hits my wallet and my calendar first.

Practical next step for me is the boring one: lock the November and early-December HKG–CRK tickets I already know I need, and only then decide whether the thinner bank still leaves a usable backup day. If you fly this route even a couple of times a month, I would not wait for the inventory to look “normal” again before checking your own dates.

Overall this is a short, ugly dip on my most-used Cebu Pacific route — not a disappearance, but enough that the commute stops feeling automatic until December thickens again.
