On March 25, 2020, Emirates announced that they were going to suspend all flights until further notice due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Hong Kong was one of many airports around the world that lost one of their biggest operators, but now Emirates has slowly started flying again, and Hong Kong is on the list of airports that they will be serving.
Effective last week, Emirates is now operating daily flights between Dubai and Hong Kong. The flight is operated by a Boeing 777 since the entire Emirates A380 fleet is still grounded. However, I do expect to see the 380 in Hong Kong again soon after the travel restrictions here are lifted.
