The traffic statistics for Hong Kong International Airport May 2020 has been released, and I am sure nobody is surprised to hear that again the numbers are down 99.4% compared to May 2019, just like the numbers for April.
The total passenger numbers were down from 6.236.000 in May 2019 to only 35.000 in 2020.
The tonnes of cargo handled was down from 404.000 to 377.000, a decrease by 6.8%
Aircraft movements were down form 36.313 to 11.355, a decrease by 68.7%. Passenger flights took the biggest dip, down to 4.735 from 30.710, whereas the number of cargo flight increased by 29.3% from 4.898 to 6.335.
