Review – Radisson Blu, Gardermoen, Norway

Radisson Blu Gardermoen is located just across the street from the arrivals hall at Oslo Gardermoen airport, so after we had returned the rental car to the agency we loaded all our suitcases up and headed to the hotel.

The room was booked through agoda.com and cost 1603 NOK for one night for the three of us, including breakfast.

Check-in was quick, and we were in our room within minutes of entering the hotel. Due to me travelling with 3 large suitcases, 3 handcarry bags and 2 kids I did not have a lot of time to take pictures of anything, but the lobby was very cosy and had snacks for the guests to grab during check-in. Worth noting is that the baggage trolleys from the airport are permitted to be brought into the hotel, so I could use that all the way to the room, which made handling my excessive amount of stuff a lot easier 🙂

The room was fairly standard, it had a large king size bed.

There was one chair and a office desk with another chair, and a large screen tv on the wall.

There was a minibar with a normal selection of alcoholic drinks, softdrinks and snacks.

The bathroom was also fairly standard, a large sink with lots of mirrors, a hairdryer and bathroom amenities.

Then there was a large bathtub and a shower.

We were now starting to get hungry, so instead of ordering room service which was quite expensive, I just headed back into the terminal as there was both a Burger King and a Pizza takeaway place there, and brought a late evening snack back to the kids, who were busy watching Ipad in the meantime.

I was eventually able to pack the kids to sleep, and we had a good nights rest before the next morning, when we woke up around 8 am, and headed downstairs for the complimentary breakfast.

The breakfast was really good, there was a huge selection of open sandwiches toppings, ham and cheese, cereals, fried and boiled egg, bacon, beans, fresh juices, tea, coffe and hot chocolate – everything that could be expected from a top breakfast buffet.

After breakfast it finally started snowing, so the kids ran outside to try and catch snowflakes in their mouths for the first time ever!

We then headed up to the room again for a quick shower, and we were ready for check-out by 10:45 that morning.

The checkout was also quickly done, and we walked across the road to the terminal, and proceeded to Emirates business class check-in.
