This is where the traffic statistics soon stats to be interesting, the number for the first few months of this year are now out, and can be compared to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic last year. January 2020 was still ok, but in the months after that we started seeing a steep decline in the aviation world.
The numbers for January were as follows:
- Passenger numbers in January 2021 compared to 2020 were down 98.8%, from 5.718.000 to 71.000
- Tonnes of cargo handled was up 14.1% from 359.000 tonnes to 409.000 tonnes
- The flight movements were down 65.8% from 33.226 to 11.365
