After check-in was completed I headed just across the street to one of my favourite restaurants in Bangkok, the Old German Beerhouse. It has been there since my first trip to Bangkok, and have a great selection of both local and international dishes (and a good selection of beers).

After food I decided to go for a massage to focus on my right shoulder, as it by now was almost killing me. I looked around for a little while, and found a pretty serious looking massage parlour, and explained what I needed. The receptionist found a strong, older lady for me, and she quickly located the problem, and spent the next hour working it. Unfortunately it turned out she was not very good at what she was doing, and by the time I left the place I could hardly move my arm at all.
Headed back to the hotel to try to rest the arm and shoulder, and built myself almost a small castle with all the pillows, in order to find a position that was not painful at all, which turned out to be more or less impossible. Resting was impossible, sleep was almost impossible, even having a few beers to lull the pain dind’t work, so this is more or less how I spent my entire 3 days in Bangkok – instead of being outside and rediscovering anything I basically sat in bed and felt sorry for myself :/
Oh well, Bangkok is still awesome I am sure, and will go back there as soon as travel starts up again, and then hopefully I will be able to rediscover some more 😀
