The trip from my hotel and to Don Muang was quick and took me about 20 minutes. The cost was the same as coming from the airport, around 350 THB. As I had done online check-in I headed straight for immigration, and was through immigration and security check in a few minutes.

The entrance to the lounge was just after immigration, but I almost missed it, as it was full of signs of different cards and memberships you could use to access it, and I couldn’t find neither Lounge Key or Priority Pass amongst the jungle of signs, but the friendly lady at the desk confirmed that they did indeed accept those cards as well, and I was let around the corner to the escalator leading down to the lounge.
The escalators led straight into the lounge itself, which was a bit weird. But the lounge was quite spacious, and I was impressed with the comfortable seating they were offering, I could easily spend a few hours here. They had probably about 50 large comfortable chairs, and about 10-15 dining tables with a couple of chairs each.
There were large almost floor to ceiling windows overlooking one of the aprons, so a good place for some plane spotting for those who are interested in that.
The lounge had a good selection of hot and cold food to choose from. I would say there were about 8 different hot dishes, and they were constantly refilled when someone took some food from any of them
Then there was a refrigerated unit where you could make your own salad of fruit salad, and all the food here was really fresh.
On the next table there was a selection of sandwiches, cookies and cakes.
The drinks selection was also really good, they had at least 6 different kind of juices, coffee makers, soft drinks, bottled water, beer, red/white and rose wine, and a standard selection of whisky, gin, vodka rum and so on.
As i only had an early lunch before I headed to the airport I tried a lot of the food in the lounge, and it all was very typical thai, and very tasty.
After I had finished eating and watching the action at the apron, I headed towards my gate, and it was just a quick 3 minutes walk to get there, and boarding was just about to start when I arrived.
I must say this was an impressive lounge, Don Muang feels very old and worn down when you walk around the terminal, but the lounge was quite the opposite – spacious, clean and quite. I look forward to using this lounge again in the future!
