Cebu Pacific has their check-in counters in Hong Kong terminal 1, Isle D. Coming off a nightshift I brought my bags with me straight from work to the check-in counter, and did the check-in about 90 minutes before scheduled departure.
Immigration and security check is always quick at Hong Kong airport, and I was on the train from the main terminal to the midfield concourse within minutes after checking in.
Arriving at the midfield concourse I had a quick breakfast from Starbucks, and boarding started about 45 minutes before departure time.
I always pay extra for emergency seat with Cebu Pacific – as a low cost operator seat selection is not included in the ticket, but they charge an additional 180 HKD. My favorite seat is either 1A or 14A, and this time I had choosen 14A.
The seats are spaced based on what I guess is the average Asian sized passenger, so when I travel my legs gets almost squashed sitting on a normal row, and I for some reason tend to be placed in the middle seat as well, which does make it a fairly uncomfortable fight for me and my neighbours 😀
As you can see there is quite a big difference in the space available.
The boarding was completed on time, and we pushed back more or less on the expected time as well.
Having just finished an overnight shift, I quickly fell asleep, and did not wake up until we landed in Clark.
From landing in Clark it was a quick taxi to gate, and immigration formalities and baggage reclaim was done in less than 20 minutes – I love flying into Clark as it is still a small airport, and distances are very short and tings happens quickly.
