After we had completed a quick breakfast in the lounge, we headed over to our gate, and boarding started soon after we had arrived at the gate.
For this flight we were allocated seats 4, 5 and 6A, again getting window seats, and we were seated just behind each other.

As soon as we arrived, we were showed to our seats, and the cabin crew offered to take our picture, as she noticed that I was busy taking pictures of the kids settling in. The kids were immediately served cold drinks, chips, and a small toy set that they enjoyed.
Qatar Airways Airbus A359 has a total of 36 business class seats, more or less identical to the ones they have in their Boeing 787-8. The cabin is divided in two, with the foreward cabin having 24 seats and the rear cabin 12 seats. The Flight was maybe 40% full in business class, and the entire back cabin was empty.
After setting in, I was also offered a drink, and as always I asked for champagne, and was again given the choice between the rose and the brut. This time I choose the rose, I found that to be tastier than the brut.
Soon after the menus were handed out, and with this being a 6.5 hours morning flight there was only breakfast available. The drinks menu was the same as on the previous flight, so I will not post pictures of that again.
The A359 has a tail camera, so I enjoyed watching this while we were taxiing out for departure and on the initial climbout.
Qatar Airways offers a dine on demand in business class, meaning you choose yourself what you want to eat, when you want to eat, and in what order you want to eat, which is awesome. Having had not too much rest so far during the travel, and with still one more flight and a 2 hour drive after arrival pending, I wanted to maximize the amount of rest I could get, so I ordered my food as soon as possible, wanting to put my head down for a nap after I finished eating.
I love the way Qatar Airways sets up the table for eating, and the attention to details is really nice.
For breakfast I started with the platter of seasonal cut fruits, which was very fresh and tasty.
Then for main course I ordered the Tomato and cheese omelette with turkey bacon sausage, which also was surprisingly good, considering I am of the opinion that you can’t call it bacon unless it’s from a pig…..
Then for drinks I just ordered a cup of freshly brewed coffee, as I was still busy drinking my champagne, but they insisted on topping up my glass as well, and who am I to say no? 😀
The kids had pre-ordered the childrens meals, but they were not hungry as they had breakfast in the lounge before departure, and were busy trying to eat all the potato chips they had stocked in the airplane before departure…
I then slept for a few hours, before I went to look around the cabin a bit more.
In the middle between the forward and rear cabin there is a nice setup with snacks, fresh fruits and champagne, and you are free to help yourself.
The rear business class cabin was as mentioned completely empty. Worth noting as well is that this cabin does not feature the throne seats as the Boeing 787 does, so there is a bit more privacy here.
The seats are basically identical to the seats on the Boeing 787-8, although I think slightly wider
Qatar Airways also offer Wifi on their flights, on this one at a very reasonable rate for anyone who would like to get online while flying
At this stage of the flight I fell asleep again, and only woke up as we touched down in Stockholm, so no pictures of the total route – I just got too busy cleaning up the kids mess and getting all our things.
