Stockholm – Oslo with SAS business class

This will be the shortest installment of this tripreport, as there really wasn’t much to report from this flight 🙂

SE-REU, our Boeing 737-7 for the day.

We had arrived in Stockholm on time with Qatar Airways, and quickly passed through immigration before we proceeded to the departure gate. We only had 90 minutes in transit, so we had a quick snack to eat, and then boarding was about to begin.

We were assigned seats 1 DEF, so finally we got to sit together 🙂 The seats were fine, but there was a wall in front of us, limiting the leg-space, and the traytables were in the armrests, making the seats slightly more narrow than other seats, but still fine.

Boarding and pushback was done on time, and after we got airborne the service began. As we were on a business class ticket with Qatar Airways I assume we were considered ‘SAS Plus’ for the flight, and the food and drinks from the service was free of charge. We had just had a snack in the terminal (and food on the previous flight) so we only asked for a cup of coffee for me, and some candy for the kids.

Other than that I couldn’t see any difference to the other passengers on the flight, although I believe the other passengers had to pay for food and drinks (coffee and tea is supposedly free for all passengers.)

The flight was quick, and not long after reaching cruising altitude we started our descent into Oslo Gardermoen, where we landed on schedule.

After disembarking we quickly cleared through the arrivals hall, but we had to wait a good 30 minutes for our bags to arrive, which I think is way to much for what is supposed to be a modern airport – I have never waited more than a couple of minutes in Hong Kong by comparison.

After we had collected our bags, we quickly found my brother who was waiting for us, and it was finally time to start our holiday in Norway 🙂
