When I booked the ticket the departure time was 15:40 and arrival time 17:25, however, right after I had booked the schedule was adjusted and new flight timings were 16:40 departure time and 18:25 arrival time. Not ideal as I was hoping to get a half evening around town the day I arrived, but there should still be time for that if we arrived on time.

One place that has been high on my list of places to go has been Phu Quoc, Vietnam, ever since the first time I saw a VietJet flying in from there to Hong Kong. I consider myself fairly well traveled in Southeast Asia, but I had never heard about this island before, so I quickly had to google it and the more I read the more interested I got in going there.

Cebu Pacific has their check-in counters in Hong Kong terminal 1, Isle D. Coming off a nightshift I brought my bags with me straight from work to the check-in counter, and did the check-in about 90 minutes before scheduled departure.

When I was in Macau previously I signed up for the Sands Rewards, and about a month ago I received a text message saying “Oct FREE room offers: Stay in Macau Cotai Strip Holiday Inn 1 night in Weekday. First come first served. T&C Applies” followed by a phone number to call. I called directly and asked for a room on one of my days off in October, and was asked if I wanted a single bed or two beds. I asked for a single bed, and was advised there was none available, but 2 beds was, which I then asked to book. I was then told the booking was confirmed, and the call was terminated. I did find it a bit strange that I did not get any confirmation number, no text and no email with the reservation, so was a bit worried if I actually had a room or not.

Introduction – Trip report – Hong Kong – Clark – Doha – Stockholm – Oslo Gardermoen // Sandefjord Torp – Copenhagen – Doha – Clark – Hong Kong
So, summer holidays are finished for me, and I will make my first attempt at writing a trip report. I will honestly admit that I was a bit too busy with my two small kids during the trip, so there are a lot of photos missing, but it also means I have a lot of space to improve to the next trip.
